Welcome to the NEW nscsd.org! Welcome to the NEW nscsd.org!: The North Syracuse Central School District is excited to unveil our new and refreshed website! Early in the 2016-2017 school year, we conducted a website survey to find out what our families wanted to see on our site. The new nscsd.org was created with survey feedback in mind. The updated site includes improved calendar features, an interactive staff directory, changes to navigation and mobile responsive technology for browsing from phones and tablets. We’ve also improved the structure of our content, so users will get quicker reads and will see lots of pictures...of YOUR students! There are also many other smaller but important changes, all to help nscsd.org help you get the information you need. 2026 Festival of the Arts on April 25 2026 Festival of the Arts on April 25: The annual Festival of the Arts will take place on Saturday, April 25 at North Syracuse Junior High School. The district-wide celebration of art and music will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with exhibitions and performances throughout the school. Explore student artwork from all grade levels while enjoying live winterguard, marching band and small ensemble musical performances. Concessions and face painting will also be available for a fun, family-friendly experience. A performance listing and event map is available online by clicking here . 
Elementary students and families invited to Elementary students and families invited to "Spring Into Savings" Fun Night: April 10, 2024

North Syracuse Central School District elementary students and families are invited to the annual “Spring Into Savings” Financial Literacy Fun Fair on Thursday, April 16 at Cicero Elementary School, 5979 Route 31 in Cicero. The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is free for families to attend. The event will include financial literacy games, educational games for K-4 students and complimentary pizza, refreshments and prizes. It is sponsored by Beginnings Credit Union.

NSJH talent show will take audience around the world on April 17 NSJH talent show will take audience around the world on April 17: April 9, 2026 The 2026 Junior High Talent Show: Talent Around the World is on Friday, April 17th at 7PM in the North Syracuse Junior High Auditorium, featuring acts from 8th and 9th graders in the district. Tickets can be purchased now through Hometown Ticketing . General Admission tickets are $8, and Reserved Seating is $12. Reserved seating enables patrons to pick their exact seat and skip any lines. Over the past year, a dedicated committee of staff, parents, students and community members has been working diligently to review and revise the North Syracuse Central School District Student Code of Conduct to ensure it aligns with current educational practices and New York State regulations. North Syracuse Junior High School to host U.S. Navy Band concert North Syracuse Junior High School to host U.S. Navy Band concert: February 3, 2026 The North Syracuse Central School District is proud to welcome the United States Navy Band to North Syracuse Junior High School for a free community concert on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. Tickets are required and ticket-holders must be seated at least 15 minutes prior to the concert.  The performance is part of the Navy Band’s 2026 Northeast tour celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Counselors available at Gillette Road Middle School Counselors available at Gillette Road Middle School: March 18, 2025  The North Syracuse Central School District has learned of the death of a 6th grade student from Gillette Road Middle School.  The district's Crisis Response Team is in place at the school to provide immediate counseling and support to students and staff. Our counselors are available to offer assistance, resources and strategies to help students cope. Counselors will be at Gillette Road Middle School from 4:00-6:00 PM today. They will remain available in the coming days to offer guidance, comfort and resources. Additionally, care stations will be set up in the school's library tomorrow for students. This is a devastating loss, and our thoughts are with the student's family, friends and everyone in our school community who may be affected. The group, directed by CNS Chorus Teacher Danielle Rausa, was asked to perform as part of Mrs. Rausa having been selected as the WCNY Classic FM Music Educator Award honoree for of the Month for September 2024. Surveys show as many as 50,000 motor vehicles illegally pass New York State school buses every day. Passing motorists are the second leading cause of school transportation student fatalities. The Onondaga County Traffic Safety Advisory Board, with the North Syracuse Central School District and numerous law enforcement agencies will conduct their annual Operation Safe Stop awareness campaign.
