North Syracuse Junior High School to host U.S. Navy Band concert

February 3, 2026

The North Syracuse Central School District is proud to welcome the United States Navy Band to North Syracuse Junior High School for a free community concert on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m.

The performance is part of the Navy Band’s 2026 Northeast tour celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. As the Navy’s premier musical organization, the band presents concerts designed to connect communities with their Navy through music that spans American classics and contemporary selections.

“Hosting the United States Navy Band is a tremendous honor for our district and our community,” said Superintendent Dr. Terry L. Ward. “This performance gives our students, families and residents access to a world-class musical experience while celebrating our nation’s history.”

In addition to serving the broader community, the concert provides an important learning experience for student musicians across the district.

“For our music students, seeing professional musicians of this caliber perform live is incredibly impactful,” said Daryle Redmond, NSCSD Fine Arts Director. “Experiences like this inspire students and reinforce the importance of arts education.”

The concert is free and open to the public. Ticket reservations are required and can be made through the U.S. Navy Band website at https://www.navyband.navy.mil/events/tour/concert-band-2026
