North Syracuse Junior High School to host U.S. Navy Band concert

The North Syracuse Central School District is proud to welcome the United States Navy Band to North Syracuse Junior High School for a free community concert on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m.

The performance is part of the Navy Band’s 2026 Northeast tour celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. As the Navy’s premier musical organization, the band presents concerts designed to connect communities with their Navy through music that spans American classics and contemporary selections.

The concert is free and open to the public. Ticket reservations are required and can be made through the U.S. Navy Band website at https://www.navyband.navy.mil/events/tour/concert-band-2026

There are six performing ensembles in the Navy Band: the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, Sea Chanters chorus, Commodores jazz ensemble, Country Current country/bluegrass ensemble and the Cruisers popular music group. 
Ensembles from the Navy Band tour nationally 12-15 weeks each year. Sailors in the Navy Band are full-time professional musicians.  

Almost all of the Sailors in the Navy Band have undergraduate degrees in music, and most have graduate degrees.
