Board of Education appoints new Director of Human Resources

The North Syracuse Central School District is pleased to announce that the Board of Education approved Sarah Jones as the district’s new Director of Human Resources at its May 12 meeting. Jones currently serves as principal of Gillette Road Middle School, where she has led building operations, supported instructional programming and worked closely with staff and families to foster a strong school community. She has also contributed at the district level through her work on several committees, including the District Steering Committee, MTSS Committee and DEI Committee. Prior to her role as principal, Jones served as associate principal, instructional coach and special education teacher within the North Syracuse Central School District. Her background includes experience in personnel processes, collaboration with labor groups and staff development.

Superintendent Dr. Terry Ward shared, “Sarah Jones has officially been named Director of Human Resources, and we could not be more excited. Her thoughtful leadership and steady commitment to excellence have earned her this opportunity. She has a remarkable ability to connect with people, strengthen culture and inspire growth across the organization. We are confident she will thrive in this role.”

Jones will begin her new role on July 1, 2026.
