CNS seniors shine at OCM BOCES with Seal of Biliteracy presentations
May 1, 2026Thirty-four seniors from CNS recently traveled to OCM BOCES to present their final projects for the New York State Seal of Biliteracy.
The Seal of Biliteracy is a formal distinction awarded to graduating seniors who demonstrate high proficiency in English and one or more world languages. This achievement directly supports the district’s goal to advance literacy achievement across grade levels. By honoring students' cultural identities, the program prepares them for academic and professional success.
The projects represent a culmination of extensive research and linguistic dedication. While many students presented in two languages, several scholars challenged themselves by presenting in three, four or five different languages.
By navigating complex global topics with linguistic fluidity, these young leaders are demonstrating the professional leadership growth and strategic thinking necessary for success on a global stage.
