NSCSD students inducted to National Technical Honor Society

Congratulations to the 31 North Syracuse Central School District students enrolled in OCM BOCES Career & Technical Education and New Vision programs at the Thompson Road Campus, who were recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS): Laniah Adair (Cosmetology), Steven Adsitt (Automotive Technology), Maya Blakes (Cosmetology), Hannah Burnett (Firefighting & EMT), Oneisha Coakley (New Vision Medical Professions), Tyler Colman (Automotive Technology), Dominick Elsbree (Automotive Technology), Savannah Foil (New Vision Criminal Justice), Olivia Frey (New Vision Criminal Justice), Adyson Galuppo (Construction Technology), Aya Hussein (New Vision Medical Professions), Gianna Kimber (Early Childhood Education), Gavin Leonard (Automotive Technology), Sean Loughlin (New Vision Medical Professions), Kierstyn McGraw (New Vision Medical Professions), Gianni Melendez (Automotive Technology), Leo Nguyen (New Vision Engineering), Nathan Ornoski (New Vision Medical Professions), Kaiya Palmiter (New Vision Medical Professions), Michael Pease (Culinary Arts), Elianna Pinoargotte (Cosmetology), Brianna Poe-Garcia (Cosmetology), Casey Potratz (New Vision Criminal Justice), Adriana Richer (Cosmetology), Harlei Shaw (Cosmetology), Lilly Spier (Early Childhood Education), Jayden Stokes (Culinary Arts), Ava Taylor (Cosmetology), Logan Tyo (Automotive Technology), Emma Warren (Media Marketing) and Jacob Wicks (New Vision Medical Professions).

To be eligible for the NTHS, students must maintain a minimum grade average of 85, have strong attendance, receive a teacher recommendation and demonstrate values like respect, responsibility, honesty, leadership, citizenship, skill and service.

In all, OCM BOCES inducted 155 students from across Central New York during the April 14 ceremony at SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College. During the event, students lit candles symbolizing the seven core attributes of NTHS and received honor cords and tassels to wear at their home district graduations.
