Board of Education appoints Miranda Magley as Associate Principal at North Syracuse Junior High School
April 7, 2026| The North Syracuse Central School District Board of Education approved the appointment of Miranda Magley as Associate Principal at North Syracuse Junior High School at its meeting on Monday, April 6, 2026. She will replace Charles P. Yonko, Jr. following his retirement at the end of the current school year. Magley brings a strong background in instructional leadership, student support and school operations to the role. She is currently serving in an administrative internship at Liverpool High School, where she works with students, families and staff to support academic success, positive behavior and student engagement. Her responsibilities have included analyzing academic, attendance and behavioral data, helping guide intervention planning and assisting with daily school operations, supervision and crisis response. |

| In addition to her internship experience, Magley has served as summer school principal for grades 9-12 and has helped develop professional learning for K-12 instructional staff through New York State’s Numeracy Brief Initiative. Her previous experience also includes service as an instructional math coach in grades K-8 and as a classroom teacher. Magley is currently completing her Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership at SUNY Cortland, with anticipated completion in May 2026. She also holds a Master of Science in Literacy Education and a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education from SUNY Geneseo. “Miranda brings strong instructional knowledge, a student-centered approach and a clear commitment to supporting school communities,” Superintendent of Schools Terry Ward said. “I am confident she will be a strong addition to the leadership team at North Syracuse Junior High School.” Magley will begin her role with NSCSD on July 1, 2026. |
