NSCSD to honor four Wall of Distinction inductees Friday

March 23, 2026

The North Syracuse Central School District will celebrate its 2025-26 Wall of Distinction inductees during a ceremony on Friday, March 27, at 7 p.m. at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. The district will honor George Harrington, Antwaun Johnson, Robert Todd Tackman and Joseph Viviano for their professional accomplishments, leadership and service to their communities.

The Wall of Distinction was created in 1990 to recognize graduates of North Syracuse High School, Cicero High School and Cicero-North Syracuse High School who have achieved distinction in their personal or professional lives and who have demonstrated a strong commitment to community service. Each inductee’s picture and biography are displayed on the Wall of Distinction at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

This year’s honorees represent a wide range of accomplishments:

George Harrington, a North Syracuse High School graduate from the Class of 1975, is being recognized for a lifetime of service, including more than a decade on the NSCSD Board of Education and many years of support for student activities and school communities.
Antwaun Johnson, a Cicero-North Syracuse High School graduate from the Class of 2006, is being honored for his professional achievements, community volunteerism and dedication to mentoring students and athletes.
Robert Todd Tackman, a member of the Class of 2006, is being recognized for his leadership in banking, public service and local government, including his current role as mayor of the Village of East Syracuse.
Joseph Viviano, a Cicero-North Syracuse High School graduate from the Class of 2007, is being honored for his success in financial services, his business leadership and his ongoing service to the community through scholarship, philanthropy and civic involvement.

The district looks forward to recognizing these outstanding alumni and celebrating the impact they continue to make in Central New York and beyond.
