Community engagement key as NSCSD reviews Utilization Study recommendations

Community members are invited to share feedback through a district ThoughtExchange as leaders consider next steps following the recent community forum

March 10, 2026

On March 9, the North Syracuse Central School District hosted a Community Forum to review recommendations from the district’s Utilization Study and discuss how school facilities can best support students and educational programs moving forward.

During the forum, district leaders shared information about the study and its recommendations and answered questions from community members. The Utilization Study examined how district buildings are currently being used and identified opportunities to better align facilities with the district’s instructional programs and long-term planning needs.

As the district continues reviewing the recommendations and considering potential next steps, community input remains an important part of the process.

The North Syracuse Central School District invites families, staff and community members to participate in a ThoughtExchange as part of the ongoing review of the Utilization Study recommendations.

The ThoughtExchange allows participants to share ideas and review the perspectives of others in the community, helping district leaders better understand priorities and perspectives as the process moves forward. Participating takes about five minutes.
Community members are encouraged to participate by March 30.

Community feedback will help inform district leaders as they continue evaluating the Utilization Study recommendations and consider possible next steps. The North Syracuse Central School District encourages families, staff and residents to share their perspectives and contribute to this ongoing conversation about how district facilities can best support students and educational programs in the future.
