2026 CNY Scholastic Art award winners

For more than 100 years, the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have recognized outstanding creative achievement by students across the country. Locally, the Central New York Scholastic Art Awards honor student artists for originality, technical skill and personal vision.
This year, Cicero-North Syracuse High School and North Syracuse Junior High School students earned more than 200 awards through the 2026 Central New York Scholastic Art Awards, continuing a strong tradition of artistic excellence across the district
Student artists in grades 8–12, guided by educators Heather Blaski, Kara Daviau, Tracy Liberman, Joe Farranto, Amanda Blackburn, Alexis Froio and Rebecca Patterson, earned recognition across photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital art and mixed media
Exhibition Information
Winning works (Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention) are on public display at the Whitney Applied Technology Center at Onondaga Community College through February 27, 2026. A selection of award-winning pieces will move to the Everson Museum of Art for a special exhibition from March 7 to April 5, 2026.Gold Key Award Winners
