Q: Why did the district conduct a Utilization Study?
A: Enrollment trends, student needs, and educational programming change over time. Conducting a Utilization Study is a healthy and responsible planning practice that allows the district to review data, plan proactively, and ensure schools continue to serve students effectively now and in the future.
Q: Are schools closing?
A: At this time, no decisions have been made, however, you will see in the report our NSEEP could be relocated to Allen Road Elementary School. It is then recommended - one of the top recommendations includes NSEEP moving to Allen Road Elementary School. Again, no decisions have been made at this time. The report outlines several long-term options for consideration.
Q: Will staff lose their jobs?
A: No staffing decisions are connected to this report.
Q: Why is this being studied now?
A: Declining enrollment, changing student needs, and long-range planning responsibilities make it important to review how resources are used.
