Meeting Dates/Topics

On January 28, 2026, the Utilization Study Committee presented its final report summary to the Board of Education. The Board of Education and district administration will review the study findings together and use them as a foundation for thoughtful discussion, reflection and community engagement. The goal is to ensure district resources are aligned with future educational demands and career readiness while continuing to support students and families. Additionally, the full report is available here. 

Community input will be an important part of the process moving forward. Opportunities for staff, families and community members to learn more and share feedback will be provided, including a community forum planned for February. Additional details will be shared as plans are finalized.

2025 Meeting Dates and Topics:

• June 30 – Overview & Enrollment (CNS High School)

• July 28 – Instructional Program (NSEEP / Melvin Admin Building)

• August 25 – Facilities & Brainstorming (NS Junior High)

• September 15 – Transportation & Staffing Part I (Gillette Road MS)

• October 21 – Staffing Part II & Future Options (KWS Bear Road Elementary)

• November 10 – Finances & Future Options (Cicero Elementary)

• December 8 – Draft Report Review (Melvin Admin Building)

Members of the Utilization Committee must be willing to listen to others, engage in constructive dialogue and thoughtfully weigh the needs of the district as a whole — even if those needs differ from their personal interests. A commitment to a fair, transparent and student-centered process is essential.
