District accepting nominations for Wall of Distinction

The North Syracuse Central School District is accepting nominations for its Wall of Distinction Class of 2026. In order for candidates to be considered for the Class of 2026, nominations must be received by Monday, Nov. 3, 2025. A ceremony to recognize the Class of 2026 will take place on Friday, Mar. 27, 2026 and inductees will have their picture and biography featured on the Wall of Distinction at Cicero-North Syracuse (CNS) High School.

The Wall of Distinction was created in 1990 to recognize and honor graduates of North Syracuse High School, Cicero High School or Cicero-North Syracuse High School. Each year, an advisory committee considers nominated graduates who have achieved a high level of prominence in their personal and/or professional lives and who have participated in extensive community service or volunteer activities.

With more than 125 honorees to date, the Wall of Distinction includes graduates such as Hollywood actor Richard Gere, United States Navy Captain Connie Frizzell, star athlete Breanna Stewart and local television news reporter Jackie Robinson, along with numerous distinguished politicians, business leaders, educators and community members.

To be considered for the Wall of Distinction, candidates must have graduated from a NSCSD high school. Persons who attended NSCSD schools but graduated from another district may be eligible based upon a majority vote of the advisory committee. Nomination forms can be submitted electronically or printed out and mailed to the district. Learn more by calling (315) 218-2148.
