Students inducted to National Technical Honor Society

On Tuesday, April 16, the Onondaga-Cortland-Madison Board of Cooperative Educational Services (OCM BOCES) inducted students from schools across Central New York into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). 23 students from the North Syracuse Central School District were among those inducted.

Students received the honor through their work in Career & Technical Education and New Vision programs at the OCM BOCES Thompson Road Campus. Students who qualify for induction into the NTHS represent the top-performing students in a wide variety of Career & Technical Education programs.

To be inducted, students must have an 85 grade-point average or higher, 12 or fewer absences, and a teacher recommendation. Students must also demonstrate attributes that include respect, honesty, skill, responsibility, leadership, service and citizenship.

The ceremony was held in a conference room at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College. Inductees received special tassels to wear on their graduation caps in June.
