Local Lawmaker Visits Newly Renovated Karl W. Saile Bear Road Elementary School

On Monday, September 26, New York State Assemblyman Al Stirpe was invited to a special tour of the Karl W. Saile Bear Road Elementary School to get a firsthand look at the newly renovated building and grounds. North Syracuse Central School District’s Superintendent of Schools Dan Bowles and Associate Superintendent for Business Services Don Keegan asked the lawmaker to visit the school to see the enhancements made possible as a direct result of the lawmaker’s support.

Assemblyman Stirpe, a long-time educational advocate, was instrumental in the District’s procurement of a State and Municipal (SAM) grant used to purchase new furniture and install the school’s playground.
Superintendent Bowles said, “Assemblyman Stirpe is a tremendoussupporter of the NSCSD and we can’t thank him enough for that. If you look around the District, you can see the products of Al’s support for North Syracuse immediately in signs, parking lots, playgrounds and more. These things are all because of his advocacy.”

While at the school, Mr. Stirpe visited classrooms, spoke with instructional, health office and support staff, toured the building and grounds and even used the equipment on the school’s new inclusive playground.

Assemblyman Stirpe ended his visit with praise for the District and all involved with the renovation saying, “This is a great example of what all students in our schools should have access to. I will always support funding for education which ensures the success of our children. I congratulate everyone on this collaborative project".

Thank you Assemblyman Stirpe for your longtime support of North Syracuse Central School District students and staff!
