Google Workspace for Education Notice

As part of the educational process, the North Syracuse Central School District utilizes Google Workplace for Education, a set of educational productivity tools from Google (including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Classroom, and more) used by students and teachers around the world.

Students will use their accounts to complete assignments, communicate with their teachers, sign into their Chromebooks, and learn 21st century digital citizenship skills. The NSCSD Technology Department assigns students a Google account that will provide them with access to e-mail and site content. In addition, each student will be assigned a unique @g.nscsd.org student e-mail account which they will have throughout their NSCSD career. Students in kindergarten through grade 6 will only be able to use their NSCSD email account to send and receive email messages within the District.

Parents should review the Google Education Notice by clicking here in order to familiarize themselves with Google’s privacy and security practices.

If a parent/guardian does not want their child to utilize Google Workspace for Education, they should notify the student’s building principal in writing.
