Pre-Register to Comment at March 1 Board of Education Meeting by February 26

On Monday, March 1, the North Syracuse Central School District Board of Education will hold their regular meeting via ZOOM. The District now has the ability to allow comments from the audience. The meeting will allow up to 10 speakers, who must  pre-register to speak during Comments from the Audience period.  Individuals who wish to speak must contact the District Clerk at cgibson@nscsd.org  to sign-up to speak no later than 3 p.m. on Friday, February 26th.  Any requests received after this time will not be accepted.  Speaking slots will be given on a first-come-first-served basis.  Individuals who will be speaking will receive a confirmation e-mail.

Anyone wishing to speak during the Comments from the Audience portion of the meeting,  must have a ZOOM account. For individuals who do not have a ZOOM account, please visit www.ZOOM.us to sign up for a free ZOOM account or for mobile device users, you can download the free app on your device. 

For individuals who have pre-registered to speak, please review the below information:

  • There are no more than 10 speakers allowed.  If there are multiple individuals who are speaking on the same topic, you are encouraged to have one representative register to speak on the group's behalf. 
  • Speakers have 3 minutes to present their remarks. 
  • The Board of Education will not engage in conversation or answer questions during this portion of the meeting. This portion of the meeting is for the Board of Education to hear your concerns. 
  • Issues involving particular students or employees are not permissible topics during the public meeting.  Employee or student concerns should be addressed to the Superintendent of Schools during regular business hours.
