Technical Support Information

Many teachers are delivering instruction on Google Meet and Zoom. In an effort to maintain the integrity of the learning environment and respect student privacy, parents should not be taking screenshots or recording instructional learning sessions. Thank you for your continued cooperation in keeping our remote learning environments safe and private for our students and teachers.

October 15, 2020 - Message to K-6 Families Regarding Restrictions to K-6 Student Email Accounts due to Safety/Privacy Concerns: Due to privacy and security concerns the District has restricted email for K-6 students such that they can only send/receive emails to/from users with a North Syracuse email address.

If you need to email something to your student, you can add their Gmail account to your phone and you can email them from that account (essentially emailing themselves.)  Another option if you prefer not to add your students account, is to save the document to your personal Google drive and then share it with your student. Your student will then have access to it via their Google drive.

September, 2020: Parents and students in the North Syracuse Central School District should be advised that passwords for all student school/district accounts (schooltool, Google) in grades K-12 were reset to a temporary password on Tuesday, August 25, 2020.

Passwords are routinely reset each year to ensure that students will be able to access their accounts at the beginning of the school year as many students forget their unused passwords over the summer.  Please note that their temporary password will be slightly different from last year.

Their temporary password for this year includes their grade, two digit building code (see below), and the last 4 digits of their student ID.  For example, the password for a student in grade 7 at Roxboro Middle would have a password similar to 7Rm1234.  A Kindergarten student at Allen Road would be similar to kAr1234.  The K for kindergarten will be lowercase in the password.  Please note that the second letter of their building code is also lowercase.
Ar - Allen Road
Sr - Smith Road
Br - Bear Road
Gr - Gillette Road
Ce - Cicero El
Rm - Roxboro Middle
Lr - Lakeshore Road
Jh - Junior High
Re - Roxboro Elementary
Hs - High School
