Health and Safety

NYSDOH came out with updated Covid-19 guidelines as of 10/01/2020:

When a student calls in sick with potential Covid like symptoms they need to be referred to Call their Doctor to Report Their Symptoms 1st, hopefully the doctor will see them in person or via telehealth. We need a note stating that the doctor has either:

1) Evaluated the student and determined that a Covid test is needed; a negative Covid test is also need to be obtained and submitted to school prior to return of the student.

2) Evaluated the student and determined a Covid is not suspected and a test is not recommended and an Alternative Diagnosis is given (ex. Chronic conditions or laboratory confirmed illness- strep, flu).

If a student's doctor is not willing to see the students they can go to a testing site that will evaluate and test the students. Click here for a list of Covid test sites.
