Thank you for your cooperation in keeping remote learning safe and private for our students and teachers by not taking screenshots or recording learning sessions conducted on Google Meet and Zoom.

Regarding Additional In-Person Learning:
K-4 students will attend 5 days per week starting on Monday, April 12.
5-12 students will attend 4 days per week (M, T, Th, F) starting on Monday, April 19.
Students who receive special education services for 4 or 5 days per week will continue attending 4 or 5 days per week according to their program.
Students that have chosen to stay in a Remote Instruction Model will remain in the Remote Instruction Model.

School Schedules

Q1 What day will my child attend school in a hybrid model?
  A. In order to adhere to social distancing guidelines, the NSCSD is limiting daily in-person attendance. *K-7 students will attend in-person two days/week and 8-12 students will attend in-person once/week. Most students will be scheduled to attend schools on the following days by level and the first letter of last name (see below). 

Elementary and Middle Schools
  • Group 1 (A-K) Monday and Tuesday 
  • Group 2 (L-Z) Thursday and Friday
Junior High and High Schools
  • Group 1 (A-De) Monday
  • Group 2 (Di-K) Tuesday
  • Group 3 (L-Q) Thursday
  • Group 4 (R-Z) Friday 
Parents who have special circumstances should contact the building principal to make necessary accommodations.    

*CTD special education students may not be on this alphabetical schedule in grades K-7 to ensure services are provided and social distancing guidelines are followed. 

Q2 When will I receive my child’s teacher placement for the 2020-2021 school year?
  A. Teacher placement letters for students in grades K-4 are scheduled to be sent on August 24. Placement letters for students in  grades 5-7 will be sent on August 27. Junior high and high school students will have access to their schedules in Schooltool on August 27 and copies will be mailed. 

Q2 Will schools operate with the same scheduled hours as in the past?
  A. At this time schools are scheduled to operate on the same hours as in the past. Building hours are listed individually on each school’s website. Minor adjustments may be made at the start of the school year. Any modifications made will be posted on the websites and communicated to parents/guardians through the SchoolMessenger alert system.
