Public Information Meeting on December 3 for Upcoming Capital Project Referendum

On December 17, the North Syracuse Central School District community will have the opportunity to vote on renovations at Karl W. Saile Bear Road Elementary School (KWS BRE) and the purchase of property adjacent to Cicero-North Syracuse (C-NS) High School.

A public hearing about the referendum will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Jerome F. Melvin Administrative Office Building (5355 West Taft Rd.) in North Syracuse.

Voter Registration: In order to vote in the December 17 referendum, voters must pre-register by December 12, 2019.

The district is holding a special evening registration in conjunction with the December 3 public hearing. Pre-registration sessions will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., both at the Jerome F. Melvin Administrative Office Building and at Cicero Elementary School (5979 Route 31) in Cicero.

Residents may also register at the Administrative Office Building through December 12, 2019, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Absentee Ballots: Qualified voters of the District may obtain ­absentee ballot applications from the Office of the District Clerk. The district clerk must receive completed applications no later than 4 p.m. on December 16, 2019 or no later than 4 p.m. on Dec. 10 if the absentee ballot is to be mailed to the voter. ­

Completed applications received after 4 p.m. on ­December 10, 2019 will require the voter to personally appear at the Office of the District Clerk to receive an absentee ballot.
