Districts Split Victories in Pajamarama with Upstate Golisano Being the True Winner!

November, 2019
As part of Paige’s Pajamarama on Friday, October 27, Cicero-North Syracuse High School challenged Liverpool High School to see which school could raise the most money to support Paige’s Butterfly Run, Inc. in their efforts to help kids fighting cancer at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital. The challenge brought excitement to both districts, and the event soon expanded to additional schools and departments.

The totals are in and…

Overall, the North Syracuse Central School District raised $15,044.34 while Liverpool Central School District’s grand total was $13,438.65.

For the high schools, Liverpool High raised $5,638.59 and C-NS raised $5,531.45.

Fittingly Liverpool and North Syracuse get to split bragging rights this year!

In the end, the kids fighting pediatric cancer at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital are the real winners. Together these rival schools raised $28,482.99 to help support pediatric cancer research and patient programs at the hospital.

Thank you to everyone in the North Syracuse Central School District community (as well as the Liverpool Central School District community) for participating in this great event and friendly competition.

“From all of us at Paige’s Butterfly Run, Inc - we can’t thank the communities within the Liverpool Central School District and the communities within the North Syracuse Central School District enough for your support and generosity,” added Executive Director Mary Kate Intaglietta. “It was great to see how much fun you had and we loved partnering with you!”

Both districts hope to make this event bigger and better next year!
