Roxboro Road Middle School celebrates National Happiness Day

Students and staff at Roxboro Road Middle School spent the day on March 20, National Happiness Day, spreading kindness and posting their good intentions on their school's first ever Happiness Wall. Ms Hartmann's FCCLA group led the project as part of Live Happy's campaign to spread kindness. Group members encouraged their peers and teachers to post and share how they will spread happiness to others while celebrating the happiness movement.

The campaign is in honor of the U.N.-sanctioned International Day of Happiness to inspire people to make the world a happier place. More than 1,000 Happiness Walls were created across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Korea and more for this year's celebration. Roxboro Road Middle School's wall was the first of the kind for North Syracuse Central School District's schools. To find the wall closest to you, visit www.happyacts.org/wall-map/
The wall and its messages of kindness will remain in the hallway throughout the month of March to continue to inspire students and staff to choose kindness.
