C-NS Student is FINALIST in National Program

The National Merit Scholarship Program has now determined which of the 16,000 Semifinalists named in September 2018 have met all requirements to advance to Finalist standing in the competition and one Cicero-North Syracuse High School student, senior Joshua Budihardjo, is included in the elite group!

The selection of some 7,500 Merit Scholarship winners from the group of Finalists is now in progress. In March, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) will begin mailing scholarship offers to winners and notifying their high school principals. Four major news media announcements of Merit Scholar designees will be made by NMSC in April, May, June and July.

Congratulations to Joshua and best of luck as you continue in the competition!

NMSC, a not-for-profit organization that operates without government assistance, was established in 1955 specifically to conduct the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Scholarships are underwritten by NMSC with its own funds and by approximately 410 business organizations and higher education institutions that share NMSC's goals of honoring the nation's scholastic champions and encouraging the pursuit of academic excellence.
