Construction on Route 31 may cause delays

With the 2017-2018 school year upon us, the North Syracuse Central School District would like to remind our students and staff of roadwork currently taking place on Route 31 in Cicero. The New York State Department of Transportation is completing a project to mill and resurface Route 31 from just east of Lawton Road up to the Cicero-North Syracuse High School main driveway.

Although the work is taking place during overnight (9 p.m. to 7 a.m.) hours, some daytime work to install curb ramps will also occur. The DOT expects a minimal impact on traffic, which should be completed in the next several weeks, depending on weather. While one lane of traffic in each direction will be available at all times, our students and families are asked to please allow sufficient travel time through the construction area.
