You are researching Viruses and showing what you have learned creatively.

For this project we suggest using the following databases. All of these databases access peer-reviewed and general science articles that have been published in books, academic journals, magazines, newspapers, and government documents.

EBSCO Science Reference Center -includes information from reference books as well as journals and periodicals.

EBSCO GreenFile - focuses on information on human impact on the environment. It includes information on renewable energy, recycling and more.

EBSCO AP Source - features selected resources specifically targeted for Advanced Placement courses.

GALE Academic One File - contains peer-reviewed articles from academic journals and reference sources with a focus on physical sciences and many other subjects.

GALE General Science Collection - contains more than 1,000 peer-reviewed journals with information on current scientific developments.

Today's Science - includes coverage of the latest scientific discoveries and explains the concepts behind them. The database covers health, the environment, technology, life science, physical science, earth and space science, and science and society.

GALE Virtual Reference Library provides access to high quality reference materials.

Presentation Tools

Windows Live Movie Maker:

This is available on all computers in the library.  Click on the Start button, All Programs, then choose Windows Live Movie Maker.

To make a movie with Movie Maker, you’ll need some photos and videos on your PC. Import photos and videos to get started. Trim it, split it, speed it up or slow it down, you can also add text to your movies by inserting a title and credits.

Prezi is a FREE web-based presentation and storytelling tool that uses a single canvas instead of traditional slides.  Text, images, videos and other presentation objects are placed on the infinite canvas and grouped together in frames.  The canvas allows you to create non-linear presentations that allow you to zoom in and out of a visual map.

Create FREE presentations in minutes using their ready-made templates and slides.  You can access your presentations anywhere you have an Internet connection.

 

Thinglink:

With ThingLink you can easily annotate image and video content with notes and rich media links.
