WELCOME TO THE BEAR ROAD PTO WEBSITE!|
Have a question? Want to get involved? Please join us for our next PTO meeting on March 28th at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. Free childcare provided.
Did you know you can submit your Price Chopper Rewards card number as well as collect them from your friends, neighbors and family to help earn points for Bear Road?! This does NOT effect your discounts! As you shop, the points rack up and our PTO can use them to purchase many items for the building, our students and staff. We call that a win-win!!
Box Tops for Education: Keep saving those Box Tops!
Bear Road Buddies will be looking for volunteers to come into the school and help teachers, aides and other staff with various tasks. If you know anyone: neighbors, church friends, retirees, civic group members, etc. that would be willing to donate from 1-5 hours a week to listen to kids read to them, help with lesson prepwork and many other tasks the staff needs help with, contact Peg Parker at email@example.com or pick up an information sheet in the front lobby.
If your child buys school lunches, please check out myschoolbucks. As parents, we can check the accounts, track what our children are eating, set limits on snacks, and help our children develop good nutritional habits.
RAISE FUNDS FOR OUR SCHOOL AND HELP GIVE OUR KIDS GREAT FIELD TRIPS AGAIN THIS YEAR!!
Can and Bottle drive: Be sure to bring those bottles and cans to our Back to School BBQ on September 9th!
Outside of the drive you can return bottles and cans to Plank Road Bottle Return on Brewerton Road (in same plaza as exotic pets, across from Walmart). They are open every day except Sunday. Tell them they are for Bear Road PTO and they will give you a receipt for tax purposes if you'd like.
Coke Rewards: You can input the codes from the top of your coke bottles and donate them to Bear Road!! http://www.mycokerewards.com/content/causes.html
Bear Road PTO is enrolled in the Maines Give Back Program. Maines will give back 5% of all your purchases to our school. I have attached an application that you will have to fill out . Once you fill the application out Maines will provide you with a card that will be scanned everytime you shop there. Every six months Maines will give Bear Road PTO a check!
Check out Goodsearch.com search engine, enter KWS Bear Road Elementary and $.01 for every search will go to the school. You can also earn extra money for the school by using this search engine when you make on-line purchases. Many companies will have special "Goodshop" coupons to help you save money on what you were going to buy anyways.
Campbell's Soup labels: They can be sent in at any time and will be used to earn school equipment.
Sunny D Labels: Save your Sunny D labels and drop them off at school in the collection box in the main lobby. They will be collected to earn 20 free books for our classrooms.
Important information regarding safety +classroom parties:Not all classes have holiday parties + not all parties invite visitors
All visitors MUST sign in at the office to obtain a visitor's badge to wear/display at all times - visitors MUST stay in the classrooms they are signed into - they may not travel to other rooms/hallways
As a reminder parties are for students, not their siblings. Please make childcare arrangements for your other children if you are invited to attend a classroom party
