17 students from Roxboro Road Middle School participated in  the district-wide Spelling Bee on Tuesday, December 6th.  6 students moved on to the next level of the competition.  5 of those moving on are Roxboro students!  They are:

7th graders: Violet Young, Corinne Rutkowski, and Caitlyn Ackerman

6th graders:  Clare Turcotte and Julia DiGiulio

Clare and Julia will participate at the county-wide spelling bee in January.  Corinne Rutkowski took 3rd place overall.  Julia DiGuilio was the 2nd place speller, and Caitlyn Ackerman was the 1st place winner of the spelling bee.  We couldn’t be more proud of their efforts, and wish them the best at the next level of competition!
