Carrier 2011 Fall NYE Invitational
The October 22nd date has been rained out. The rain date is October 29th, 2011
On Saturday, October 29nd, 2011 Carrier will host the
NY Electrathon Fall Event. The event will draw high school teams from around NY State. The competition is to design and build an electric vehicle that can go the furthest on 67 pounds of batteries and one charge. The teams follow the Electrathon America rule book and try to make their vehicles as light and efficient as possible.
The event will be held in Carriers newly paved parking lots. See site layout below.
Teams will begin arriving at 9:00 am and the days schedule is as follows:
9:00-11:00 Inspections/Practice
11:00-12:00 Track closed for Lunch. Pizza and concessions for sale at the track.
12:00 - 1:30 Practice
1:30 - 2:00 Choose Line-up
2:00 - 3:00 Race
3:00 - 4:00 Cleanup

Electric Vehicle
(New York Electrathon Challenge)
| The Team plans to participate in the 2011 New York Electrathon Challenge at Watkins Glen. Changes will be made to the vehicle's aerodynamics and weight to improve performance. Also, the Team is testing a new motor and using new batteries in their vehicle to improve efficiency. |  |
