District-wide Spelling Bee on Dec. 6

On Thursday, December 6, forty talented students from North Syracuse Junior High School, Roxboro Road Middle School and Gillette Road Middle School will gather at the Jerome F. Melvin Administrative Office building (5355 W. Taft Rd.) in North Syracuse to compete in a district-wide oral spelling bee. The competition will take place at 2:00 p.m. The top six competitors from the North Syracuse Central School District spelling bee will advance to The Post Standard/WCNY 2018 Spelling Bee.

This year’s competitors are:

From Gillette Road Middle School – Kamdin Bembry (7th Grade), Samuel Budihardjo (5th Grade), Nicholas Capece (7th Grade), Anne Capone (5th Grade), Nicholas Fiori (6th Grade), Emma Hall (7th Grade), Aiden Hanas (7th Grade), Shannon Loughlin (7th Grade), Lydia Morris (7th Grade), Isabella Moya (7th Grade), Christopher Ortloff (6th Grade), Ian Salyer (7th Grade), Noah Seitz (5th Grade), Logan Tobin (7th Grade), Ethan Turner (6th Grade), Paige Viau (5th Grade) and Ocean Wang (6th Grade).
 
From Roxboro Road Middle School – Evangela Asare (6th Grade), Isabella Borte (7th Grade), Evan Champ (6th Grade), Anthony Ciciarelli (6th Grade), Halia Dice (5th Grade), Titus Dimitroff (6th Grade), Michael Downey, III (6th Grade), Jackson Dufort (6th Grade), Brigid Gill (5th Grade), Isabella Grant (7th Grade), Alex Lazure (6th Grade), Guilliana Moegelin (5th Grade), Helaina Morgan (7th Grade), Emma Newton (5th Grade), Regan Phillips (5th Grade) and Persephone Reilly (6th Grade).
