C-NS students participate in Steamboat Challenge

On Saturday October 14, twenty-six of Mrs. Madigan’s AP Physics students from Cicero-North Syracuse High School participated in the Steamboat challenge at the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST) in downtown Syracuse. The students had to design and build a heat engine to power a small boat down a water raceway. Students were scored on time and engineering process. All of the boats were successful in achieving propulsion, and three of the six finalist teams were from C-NS. Justin Stokes placed second in the high school division, and Joshua and Michael Middleton received commendation for their design and process.

Congratulations to all the participants!
