The North Syracuse Central School District will hold a public information session on, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of Gillette Road Middle School (6150 South Bay Road) in Cicero. The community is invited to come together to learn about the district’s study committee and initiatives about “Meeting the Needs of All Students – Moving Forward with Inclusion Education.”

Dr. Julie Causton will lead the session, exploring the purpose of inclusive education and school district administrators will be on hand to discuss the various inclusion efforts taking place throughout the district.

Superintendent of Schools Annette Speach encourages community members and district staff to attend the session. She said, “Over the past year and a half, the district has formed a special education study team to determine if we could be providing more effective programming to meet the needs of all learners. Based on the recommendation of this study team, in the fall of 2016 we will be moving forward with a more inclusive model of programming for many of our students receiving special education services. We encourage attendance at our public information session for our families to learn more about this initiative.”

For additional information about the public information session, contact the North Syracuse Central School District Superintendent’s Office at 315/218-2150
