Bear Road Pride Pledge:

I will be a

Who is

Our pledge is used to guide the behavior and discipline in our school.  Each day, Morning Program concludes with students and staff reciting our pledge in unison. This is followed by an enthusiastic Bear Pride Growl to set the students off on the right (paw) foot.

The district character education traits (respect, caring, trustworthiness/honesty and responsibility) are also highlighted during Morning Program.  Our Character Education Committee oversees specific programs and incentives to teach and encourage all students to exhibit these traits in all they do.

This year, Bear Road's "spy team" and staff is on the look out for "Kind Kidos". As part of our anti-bullying campaign, the counselors, our principal and school psychologist have put together a program with Louie our school mascot, to be on the look out for kids that are doing the right thing, and showing great character in and out of the classroom.
